Found Objects

Narrative found object assemblage wall-relief sculpture, 41 x 16 x 3, inspired by a gift of a broken piano. The only piano I had played was on the front porch of my Grandmother's farm. That gift caused me to reflect on my many wonderful memories at my Grandmother's farm in Michigan. Every summer I enjoyed adventures that were quite different than my usual days in Chicago. I cherish these memories and imagine we all have special thoughts of visiting our grandmother. This sculpture features the piano keys, fisher price barn, woodpecker toothpick holder(similar to the one in the dining room), embroidery hoop, tiny jars of assorted goods, woodpecker, strawberry, brush, architectural detail, my Grandmother's broken plate, corn on the cob holders, cookie cutters, cow, pig, chicken, skunk, etc. For me, each object is a story.
