I was born and raised in Iran and witnessed and suffered through all the injustice and harsh laws that were imposed against women by the Islamic revolutionary government in Iran, and the influence of that pain is apparent in my art Which gradually developed into a protest for basic liberties and rights, specially for women.
Art Allows me to paint my emotions rather than talking about them. I basically paint myself over and over and with each painting I get to know and accept myself more. For me, art is not only a way of creating but also finding peace. Art has been a journey through which I found my old resilient self I had lost and forgotten about while dealing with everyday life challenges.
